All Natursutten pacifiers are made from pure, natural rubber from the Hevea Brasiliensi tree. They feature a larger shield, which is designed to touch baby's nose, providing comfort by more closely simulating breast-feeding. These natural rubber pacifiers are softer than silicone and the fact that they are molded from one piece of rubber makes them extremely hygienic. There are no joints or cracks where dirt and bacteria can accumulate.
Natursutten pacifiers are helpful in satisfying your baby's need for self-soothing, while preventing possible negative effects on teeth and palate formation created by his or her thumb sucking.
No artificial color. No chemical softeners, Parabens, PVC, phtalates or BPA (bisphenol-A).
There are two different shapes of the nipple part that goes into your baby's mouth: round and ortho. See 'additional pictures' to see the Ortho shape.
What's the difference between the two shapes? The orthodontic shape is generally more popular because its tip of the nipple is slanted to encourage tongue movement against it (as opposed to under it), and the tongue's pressure is directed towards the tip.
Naturesutten's pacifiers comply with the quality and safety requirements for infant pacifiers set by EN1400, a European norm. In addition, they have received the highest rating by the well-respected eco-periodical ÖKO-Test (not to be confused with Öko-Tex), which inspects pacifiers on a regular basis in accordance with methods stipulated by the German Federal Ministry of Health.
To Care:
•Before first use, sterilize the pacifier by immersing it in boiling water for 5 minutes. •Clean after each use with warm water and mild liquid soap. •Never wash Natursutten pacifiers in the dishwasher. •Inspect the pacifier regularly by pressing it together. If it sticks together, it's time to replace it. •Store the soothers in a clean container away from sunlight or heat. Do not expose them to excessive heat or direct sunlight for an extended period of time. •The color of the pacifier will change slightly in colour with use. After 4-5 weeks of use, it will become dark in colour, which is a signal that it needs to be replaced.
