Description

Jeez, these are cool sunglasses! Keep reading to see just HOW cool.

Babiators are non-toxic!

When babies grab onto something, where’s the first place it goes? Their mouths. That’s why it’s imperative that anything made for babies be safe – and that’s the idea behind Babiators.

Babiators are made without BPA, without phthalates, and without lead-based paint – they know because they test every shipment to make sure!  So when you buy Babiators, you can rest assured that you are buying the safest sunglasses out there for your little one!

Babiators offer UV Protection!

Babiators protect your child's eyes at a critical time – Babiators’ lenses offer 100% protection from UVA and UVB rays – but why should we be concerned about protecting our children’s eyes from UV exposure?

Children’s sensitive skin needs sunscreen to limit dangerous UV exposure and their eyes need protection too. Here are the facts:

•When compared to adult’s eyes, children’s eyes have fewer natural protections against UV exposure, making them more likely to be damaged.
•The more time you spend outdoors, the more susceptible you are to sun damage. Published scientific research concludes that up to 50% of lifetime UV ray exposure may occur by age 18, so it’s imperative that we protect our children’s eyes now!
•According to Dr. J. Keller Wortham, a physician with Optimum Wellness Family Medical Group in Los Angeles, excessive exposure to the sun during daily activities can contribute to cataract formation, macular degeneration, pinguecula and pterygium (growth on the eye's surface), photokeratitis (snow blindness), and skin cancer on the eyelids. Those are a lot of big words, but the bottom line is this: protecting your children's eyes is critical.
•The EPA recommends you wear sunglasses even on days with a low UV index!
Given that children’s eyes do not have as many natural protections from UV, children spend more time in the sun than adults, and time in the sun can lead to permanent eye damage, we feel it just makes sense for kids to wear sunglasses!

When it’s bright outside, adults wear sunglasses – our children should do the same.

And per FDA requirements, Babiators lenses are impact and shatter resistant.

Wear and Tear Guarantee!

Their flexible rubber frame doesn’t break, and is 100% BPA-free. It also meets or exceeds CPSIA safety standards for children's products.

Babiators are tough.  In fact, the company is so confident that Babiators will become your child’s go-to pair of sunglasses that they offer a one-year *Wear and Tear Guarantee for all Babiators. If, through your child’s normal wear and tear, your Babiators break within one year of purchase, send them back to Babiators and they will send you a FREE replacement.

And here's more awesome news - Babiators also guarantees your glasses if they are lost. What company does that?! All you need to do is register your pair of Babiators within one month of purchase on http://www.babiators.com/guarantee/

*To qualify for Babiators' 1-yr guarantee of loss or breakage, customers must register their Babiators on Babiators' website within 30 days of purchase. To do so go to this registration page, https://www.babiators.com/guarantee/ and enter your email address and mailing address.  You must also enter the 12 digit UPC code that is found below the bar code on the bottom of the box.  If you no longer have the box, tell them the size and color you purchased.  Babiators will send you the correct UPC code so you can complete your registration. Once you submit the registration, you are sent an email with a replacement code.

Should your child lose or break their Babiators within one year of purchase, go to Babiators' website again - https://www.babiators.com/guarantee/redeem - enter your email address and registration number.  You are then able to order a new pair of Babiators.  All you pay is shipping which is $5.95 in the US, but varies internationally.

Please note: If your child really twists the frames, the lenses may pop out to prevent breaking – this is normal, and you can easily pop them back in.

Sizing:

Juniors: ages 0 - 3 yrs - These fit most babies from 9 months - 3 years and have a smoke lens.
Classic: 3+ years - This size will fit most little people til the age of 6 and possibly up to the age of 8, depending on head size. These Babiators have a mirror lens.

The final reason to get these glasses - they have really cool names.

Not surprisingly, these ultra cool shades get a lot of press. See them featured in Star and Pregnancy + Newborn magazines in the Additional Photos.

Testimonials:

Babiators helped him fall asleep when it was bright outside. And they seem much softer and safer than other sunglasses – there’s more give in the material,
which I like.
– Liz, mother of James, age 6 months

I love that they're BPA free, since I avoid BPA with him like the plague. I’m so glad to have an
alternative to plastic sunglasses!
– Randa, mother of Edmunds, age 3 years

We like the quality. Clearly very durable. Stood up well to some baby chewing, and we like that we can throw them in the diaper
bag and not worry about them breaking.
– Perry, father of Elaia, age 15 months

The glasses are great – Ann wears them constantly! And they are STRONG! Ann has certainly tested their flexibility.
– Brent, father of Ann, age 2 years

Teddy has never worn sunglasses before – I’ve tried and he refuses. But these? He loooves his glasses. Loves them! We were in the car the other day, and he said to me, “Let’s stop over at Grammy’s house so I can show her my cool sunglasses!”
– Susan, mother of Teddy, age 3 years

I asked Ella if she liked wearing them, and she said, “YEAH!” When I asked why, she said, “Because I look so cool, Mama!”
– Katie, mother of Ella, age 3 years

Tried different ones before and these ones provide the best coverage and comfort for my 2 year old so far.  She keeps them on instead of me constantly asking her to put her shades back on, what more can I say?
